A couple of years ago I had the idea of creating slick graphic homepages for people’s web browsers and put a list of popular sites links on the right sidebar. the aim was to be an affiliate of all of the sites, hence earn comissions for all of my hard work creating these pages.

Lo and behold, 2 years later this crosses my path… Similar to my bar napkin idea but far, far slicker! A free widget to give you the cheapest prices it can find for your google search queries, that is supposing that you are looking for an actual item, with the back-end all linked up too!

A great app for anyone who shops on the internet, and also awesome for anyone who wishes to distribute it for affiliate commissions!

We have all heard about  Multi-Level-Marketing and I, for one, have done a bit of research into it in the past. What I found was that, the concept was really smart but the products available to promote in businesses I could never really see the need for! Pills for this, lotions for that.. Unfortunately not really my thing.. And my early career in sales taught me that if I didn’t believe in a product, even if I tried my hardest to think it great, I would really not sell much at all.

So, I placed MLM on the shelf….

Last week iLearning Global popped up on my Facebook  and I thought I would take a look into it. I found the main site and found a Brian Tracy video playing back at me… All very nice, in High Definition, nice. Then slowly it dawned on me what iLearning Global was… It’s a subscription site filled with personal development video shorts, ebooks, audiobooks… Basically everything that has been filling my spare time up over the last year, which is pretty much the hub of this site, The4thMarketeer!!

Here is where I think I may need to re-iterate what a great year last year was for me, a real turner in personal philosophy. With the help of many an author and speaker, my world has become a much brighter place. I see possibilities all over the place and firmly believe that many things are achievable for me, when they weren’t before… So finding a site like iLG last week totally had me from the go.. A subscription site, with all of that information available 24/7?  By this time, my eyes had lit up like a kid in a sweetshop!! (You want to see the names of the faculty members… Some serious personal development heroes!)

A couple of videos along on the site started to detail a bit about the marketer scheme.. Here’s where the MLM part starts.. Enrol as a marketer and get a commission on every enrolment up to 7 tiers down. That means, if you enrol someone into the site as a marketer, and he enrols someone else… You will get a commission from both subscriptions!!

Now, I know a couple of people like myself, who are looking for more and something to get their teeth into, and I am assuming they are going to be chomping at the bit too to get involved in this. I feel this product is so good, or at least so well tailored for people like myself, that it really shouldn’t be too difficult to raise the excitement level with new prospects!!

Here is an opportunity to give something great to people who want it.. I’m thinking a great sense of purpose with arise if all goes to plan!!

I came across this site which proves to be pretty useful, you’d hope so bearing in mind that the monthly memberships start at $250! (I have just recieved an email from a nice guy called James from WordStream detailing that subscriptions start from $49! My knuckles have been curteously wrapped lol) But nonetheless there are 3 free tools which anyone can find helpful.. A keyword tool (which goes far more in depth than the generic ones), niche tool and grouping tool.

If I were you I would take a look

Have just found out about a great way to rustle up some keywords for your niche.. It is a 2 step plan but you will be able to borrow keywords from other sites.

The first half of the equation is a website called ‘Niche Watch‘. Just type in a generic keyword for your niche and the site will pull up the top 20 sites that use that keyword. I know you’re thinking ‘Wow Benny that is great but what use is that?’

Well, I don’t know how familiar you all are with the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (If you are not then I suggest you become familiar with it, it should really be the basis of any keyword research). When inputting keyword ideas the default is set to ‘Descriptive words or phrases’ on the left… Below that there is a checkbox for ‘Website content’. If you click the ‘website content’ box you can enter in the URLs of sites and see what keywords they are using!

So use Niche Watch to find sites and Google Keyword Tool to ‘borrow’ the keywords from the top 20 sites in your niche
All you need to hope for now is that the top 20 sites are using great converting keywords! lol

One way of creating yourself a second income is the Internet Marketing route. You can affiliate yourself to other peoples companies and products, or you can gain exposure for products that you may sell yourself. Either way, the internet is becoming the place to shop and you may well be missing out on a truck load of revenue.

I started Internet Marketing a year or so ago and had some success, but never really maintained my level of pursuit in it. What I did come across was a great training site for budding IMers, which starts you out from the very basics to some really complex stuff, it’s called Wealthy Affiliate.

Don’t get confused with the title, thinking that it is solely for Affiliate Marketers as the methods learned can be for anyone marketing on the internet.

Personally, I have just started an online shop, TheGeekPolice, and the knowledge I acquired at WA a year ago is helping me promote it. I have always maintained my membership with WA as it is a great reference guide and is constantly updated with new info.

Plus there is an added bonus of offsetting your monthly subscription by becoming a WA affiliate yourself. All of that, if you are unsure what it means is expained in the start-up 8 week action plan.

Just something you guys might want to take a look at, certainly one way to increase your earnings while still in your dayjob!
