Every once in a while you have to stand and be counted. Something comes across your desk that you know will be huge, but you also know that you have to run with it and run with it fully.

Often it is easier to just play down the possibilities of what could happen so that you can feel less guilty about doing nothing, and staying within your comfort zone.

We have all done it… But we have all also taken action and basked in the results.

I got the chance when I was a kid to play at a big music show for exactly that, I was shaking but still walked into the audition.. right at the last minute when everyone was just starting to pack up and go home. I most definitely wasn’t the best of the candidates, and by a long shot too, but I knew I could nail the piece in question… Just had to go in there and get it done.. Which I very nearly decided not to do.

If I had have gone with my original gut move, shyed away from it and let everyone pack up and leave, I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to play with some of the most amazing and talented musicians out there, and play gigs way above my station.

But you gotta make the move.

So, why is this week going to be a big?

I’ll tell you why… My team are pulling out all of the stops this week and are throwing webinars, 2 everyday, all week. Webinars to get your business off to the best start; to turn your prospects into your distributors.

There are some crazy incentives for all too… But I’ll let them tell you all about those ;p

Click here for the most IMPORTANT webinar you will watch in 2012

So, what is it going to be? Another week of not quite getting the results that you crave, or a week of bold and brave action, synchronising with a team who is going ‘balls out’ to make sure you get results?… and results by the end of this week too.

You jump into this week with both feet and I’ll bet you’ll be glad you did.

I’m in my house writing this post and outside it sounds like what I imagine a war zone to sound like. Fireworks have been going off for about the last 5 hours.

If you are not from the UK you may not have heard of Guy Fawkes and his attempt to blow up Parliament with 33 barrels of gunpowder stored underneath the House of Lords in 1605, the failing of which is celebrated year in year out.

Over the last few years, and after avid research, I find myself amused by the whole essence of Guy Fawkes’ night. It really is, by the virtue of bonfires burning ‘Guys’ and many a firework display, the most pompous celebration of control and the State, but the funny thing is, not many people understand what the state really represents.

Many of you who read this may understand my perception of the ‘State’, and who would have thought that people would blindly celebrate its hold on society. There certainly is a point to having a government to make sure that the roads are maintained and that the sewers are kept in check, but what we have now is far from that. We know have a gargantuan mechanism that takes up 50%+ of the economy (funded by the smaller private sector) which is able to do pretty much whatever it sees fit. For example, it is able to legislate against peoples’ individual rights, offences remediable by payment of fines, to generate its own revenue.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Gunpowder, treason and plot.

Let me give you 3 things to think about for new expressions of the above playground rhyme; a more up-to-date interpretation for the abhorrence and failings of modern Gov’t.

Gunpowder – Illegal wars of aggression in foreign lands (namely Irag and Afghanistan)

Treason – The signing of multiple treaties abolishing Britain’s sovereignty and handing over much of the country’s trade legislation to a central European council

Plot – The refusal to take back the entire British economy’s money creation from the private corporation ‘The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street’ (The Bank of England)

To be completely honest, with such outrageous abuses of power, and utterly ridiculous failings in their duties, everyone in the UK should stop funding such a treasonous organisation.

Maybe Guy Fawkes was smarter than the state funded education system gives him credit for.

Vive la Resistance!

Benny

Due to ‘Austerity’ measures (ie theft from the country’s creditors to pay for the failings of private enterprise). The student population has mobilised to counter the Governments rising rates for university education. There have been protests on the streets and quite an impressive show it has been too.

But, me being me, has to get my two pence in.

Firstly, the 200% rise in yearly fees from £3,000 to £9,000 is an abhorrence, bearing in mind that in my day it was entirely free.

Secondly, I salute you for your courage to stand your ground and make yourselves heard. In the years past it has often been the students who have made the most noise, something that my generation were admittedly rather lax at and I thought the art may have been lost.

Personally, I don’t agree with damaging property, but you could counter with the addage of ‘what do you do when no-one is listening?’ Also, the guy that threw the (empty) fire extinguisher off the roof, that really was a really stupid thing to do, but you probably realise better now the possibilities of what could have happened to the people down below and luckily for you no-one was hurt. It could have been horrific and you’re an idiot! (Charlie Veitch caught it all on camera from 13:40 onwards).

My question is, how relevant is university really to what you want to do? Is it imperative that you have a degree? The reason I say this is that from my experience for most cases it isn’t, you would really be better starting at the bottom in the industry and work you way up over the 3-4 years (obviously if you want to be a doctor, for instance, this plan won’t work). Graduates would then be entering the business at a lower level than you. Plus you have the opportunity to be debt free, your financial ‘zero’ point would be at the point of leaving school, for graduates it may take 10 years to get back to zero. Take a look at your future with fresh eyes guys.

Don’t get me wrong, I do understand that university is a riot (probably not the best word to use at present, but you know what I mean), and that you have the opportunity to meet some great people. But, by going there, to do a vague course in management, you’re putting yourself right on the back foot.

My main point to add here is that if you are reading this you have access to the greatest education tool known in the whole of mankind’s history… And it costs about a round of drinks a month. Use the internet, fill yourselves to the brim with all the information that YOU want to research. Stay off Facebook and go deep into whatever your passion is. You may not think there is a way to make money with it, but I bet if you look hard enough you will find one. Leave school, take your year out if you want one, then get a job in the industry that you think fits you the best and work up. Better still, look at monetising your passion and never get a job!

You guys are the brightest and most talented people, don’t get sold short with an impassioned degree, shackled with extreme debt from the onset. The world is changing and you guys need to be on it. I think we can all agree that having a job these days doesn’t offer the security it is supposed to, add that to a pile of debt?

Use the internet, stay out of debt as I fear it is going to get worse and worse over the years to stay afloat. If you look at how debt works and where we are at, there is no way of getting out of it. I’m talking on a National level here. All that the Government will do is increase ways of taxing you and me and there will be an increase in ways to commit offences for revenue collection. Fines for stuff will be everywhere (who am I kidding, they’re everywhere already!)

Take care guys and be safe.

Vive la Resistance!

On the internet, I’m connecting with all kinds of great people, through Facebook, Twitter etc, but I fear that some things are lacking in the offline world.

Ok, I’m originally from the country in the UK and moved to the city about 5 years ago. I grew up in a small town and reminisce of what it was like to simply walk up the street. Everyone that you came across, whether you knew them or not, would utter ‘uruyt?’ (meaning ‘alright?’), a small greeting similar to ‘hello’, always furnished with a grin. It no longer happens…

I did something similar, again, the other evening just outside my house. A middle aged lady was walking past as I was going to my car so I looked up and beamed a smile at her (I didn’t do the ‘suffolk grunt’ as she wouldn’t have understood I daresay). .. All I got was a stern glare in response… It felt as if my attempt to break urban protocol was offensive. Admittedly, I don’t live in the greatest neighbourhood but does that make it wrong to smile at people these days?

So, here begs the question, ‘Are we really becoming more connected?’.

If a smile puts the fear of God into you, I would suggest that you are more dislocated from your fellow human beings than you realise. Connecting with people is not really good enough if you only connect at arms length. Having a Facebook profile full of people is one thing but lacking the necessary skills for simple engagement is another.

In truth, are we really becoming more insular? More at ease with friendships and new acquaintances through a computer screen as opposed to in person? Do many of us feel ill-at-ease if a stranger approaches us and starts up a conversation? Do we consider it unwarranted?

On the other hand, yesterday morning I was leaving the house as 2 guys walked past my front door. I saw one of them out of the corner of my eye and recognised him. We have nodded and smiled a couple of times (he’s a smiler too lol) in the past as we have passed each other in the street, although I had never spoken to him. Next thing I know, out comes a hand for shaking, with a grin. I shake his hand and also his friends’, pass simple nicities and off we went our separate ways.

The underlying feeling of joy that lasted most of the day was immense. All that had happened was a man had shaken my hand, for no apparent reason and said hello. Such an uplifting feeling from something so simple! But that is also the shame of the whole situation. Something so simple also seemed so remarkable.

So, I ask you this.. Even if you are rushing, are late for something or in a bad mood, could you just look up as you pass people and smile? You have no idea what affect it might have on their day but I doubt it will be a negative one.

Vive la Resistance

Ok, I’m stretching the truth a little, this new kid has been around a little while but is right in the middle of its boom period and it is pitched to topple Google’s premier internet spot, possibly within the next year!

Now, we all know that Google has been great for us all in the past, adwords was rocking it and they had such a large portion of the internet search traffic that every marketer wanted a piece of the action… But, unfortunatley those days are gone. Marketers accounts are being shut down on adwords left, right and center. The Google Slap is still the fear of many an entrepreneur.

But here is where the bad news ends and the good news starts! The once David is going to topple Goliath and with the set up of this site, it is becoming a marketers dream! The whole intrinsic nature of it is Networking, one thing that Network Marketers are kinda keen on lol

I’m going to let Mr. JB take it from here as he has created a video explaining in much more detail the scenario that is occurring and I am sure, knowing him, he’ll have a course on how to dominate it! So I would suggest checking out his video, aptly named Get Traffic 3.0
