It’s no secret that I love TribePro, it is one of the biggest pieces of my Internet arsenal, the thing rocks quite simply. Only problem is, it is really clunky and slow.
The Gaunis have been working hard on it and have made some great advancements on the ‘ease of use’ scenario, but TribePro (which really is still in its infancy) is far from optimised user-wise.
I was just doing my regular chore of reciprocating my autosyndicators when I caught mind of how tedious it really is, especially when you only get 5 users per page.
The new ‘follow’ and ‘syndicate’ buttons are awesome for speeding up what you used to have to do, but have a look at the video below for a little tweak that will take hours off your time in total, when it comes to your weekly maintenance.
More on Content Syndication here and a video explaining more about it here
If you are using YouTube for your sales and capture pages, in my opinion there is nothing cooler than the video autoplaying when the page loads. As you may know, YouTube won’t do this when you embed the code from the site.
What I want to do here is to show you a quick tweak that will get your videos to autoplay.
First off I want to show you the standard iFrame embed code that you can get from YouTube to embed your video, and then I am going to show what code you need to edit (Don’t get scared and give up on me yet, it is really quite simple )
Firstly, here is the default code -
The bit just after the video source url is a command function. you see the rel=0? That refers to whether or not the video should show related video suggestions on the screen just after the video has finished (it is written into the code by YouTube if you uncheck the ‘Show suggested videos when the video finishes’ box)
I now want to show you a piece of working code that I have on my blog training capture page (where I have changed the code to make the video autoplay -
So simply by replacing the rel=0 with &autoplay=1&rel=0 your video should autoplay
Don’t get me wrong, we all want to be efficient in our businesses, but is there sometimes a thing called ‘being too efficient’?
When you start out, that first email that pings your email inbox regarding your business is a thing of beauty. Someone has some questions about what you are offering…. Hooray! lol
The first thing, that I think we all have done, is to be efficient and answer the query straight away; we drop tools and get straight to it.
Now, let’s look at how that may appear to the sender of our message. He has messaged a ‘busy entrepreneur’ and got a reply to his email in a nanosecond. How busy is the entrepreneur really?
Efficiency is good, but it can be a double edged sword and give rise to an appearence of ‘I have been waiting by my indox for your email for days, as I don’t have anything else to do in my business’. It may seem a little far fetched, but you email some highly successful networker and you will get a reply… But maybe the next day, never within 5 minutes.
Ok, I’m going to admit it that this is possibly more of a shrine than a post, but this hardcore technical meditative, chakra aligning mantra really does work!
I’m possibly a little too OCD when it comes to my stuff on the internet, but I will admit that I do like it when things look clean and sharp. One of the banes of internet living is the bizarreness of URLs. Bit.ly helps (really good for tracking) but often all you want is something like ‘Website.com/me’
To be honest, if you have a username that is not so popular, this can be done quite often. For instance the default for twitter is ‘www.twitter.com/YourUsername’, but Facebook, because Facebook can, will be a little more annoying.
(yes, type it in exactly as http://www.facebook.com/username)
From there you will be able to choose a username for yourself (to essentially replace the username bit of the link above) Have a look –
Now, I assume that there will be some choices for your actual ‘human’ profile, but I got a ‘memorable web address’ years ago so the option doesn’t show.
To cut a long story short you can now access my Page by going to -

So, you have joined some marketing groups on Facebook and are now getting to know the members by adding each of them and connecting, which is a wise thing to do.
Funny thing with the world is that people get bored very easily, so most people will give up adding marketers before they finish adding everyone in the group (this is especially noticeable in the larger ones)
The guys who show up last in the list for the larger groups never get the benefit of the mass of marketers adding and connecting, they’re kinda ‘not one of the gang‘ by the time that people get bored.
What I want to do is show you a quick Jedi tactic to change all that. You will also see that by my name being B gives me an extra advantage, but this tweak puts me at the top of the members lists, way above where it should be.
Quite simply add an apostrophe to the beginning of your first name, like this -
You can do this by following this path from your homepage -
ACCOUNT > ACCOUNT SETTINGS > CHANGE NAME
What this does is rearranges your name in the lists, when pulled up. As symbols are before the alphabet in computer geekspeak, your name will be at the top of group lists.
Check it out -
… and this…
