You are probably well aware of the hazards of Social Media and you’re probably thinking that Empire Avenue sits within a similar bracket.
I’m guessing that you have played at least one of the Facebook app games (although most of us try to hide the fact). Farmville became very popular at one point and if you are running a business, that kinda stuff really isn’t the best use of your time.
So why am I here writing about Empire Avenue, what looks like from the outside something that is going to suck your time into oblivion?
I’m going to be honest here and tell you that the only reason I even took a look at this was because it came in on recommendation from a great marketer that I know. He pointed out the downfalls, but also one of the possible benefits too.
So what has Empire Avenue got for you that can be of use?
Take a look at the quick video below where I break down a few things about how I see that it can be a great tool in your arsenal. Just bear in mind I have only been on Empire Avenue for 24 hours or so so I am not the best rehearsed at where everything is and how it all works.
3 Main Points of Interest with Empire Avenue
If you are smart (and my research is right) there are 3 main ways you can benefit from Empire Avenue, get yourself some free traffic and generate more engagement in your Social Media efforts.
FREE Advertising using the ‘paid ads’ using your free currency
Get people to do stuff and engage in your other sites using ‘Missions’
By being able to email your shareholders you could set up your Empire Avenue ‘business’ to run as a community, only accessible by being a sharholder in your stock. This hits on 2 levels, you’re creating and engaging with your own community plus your stock price will rise with the more members you have, which will in turn increase your profiling.
Ooh and a cheeky little one here, as your Social Media efforts are now on public display with Empire Avenue you have more reason to be consistent in your efforts (otherwise it will show in your stock price falling)
So in short, if you are not conscious of the pitfalls you could find yourself wasting some of your precious time, but used wisely, Empire Avenue could create you some extra interraction with the Social Media crowd and increase your brand’s exposure.
Truth is, I have been hunkered down building something that will hopefully fix 3 problems for many of you.
With many of the people that I have been speaking to over the last few weeks, there has been an air of frustration, one where people weren’t seeing the results that they were hoping for.

In-Built SEO Blogging Software | Empower Network and SEOPressor - Having just arrived back from the most magical time with most of my family down south, I log into the back office of my Empower Network Blog to find a nice little present; in-built SEO blogging software in the guise of SEOPressor.
Now, you may or may not be aware of SEOPressor but put simply it is an SEO plugin for WordPress. Gone are the days of the manual checklist, now plugins can do all of the technical stuff for you.
I have never used this SEO blogging software before, so was really quite thrilled to have it installed. I love checking things out to see how they work.
All in all I reckon SEOPressor is pretty cool. I’m personally a little old school and have a checklist, but for someone who hasn’t been messing with websites very long, this SEO blogging software is something really cool. Your EN blog can play on a level playing field with the big boys now.
I made a little video to show you how the SEO blogging software works and what you can do to fix things that it flags up (the genius bit is that I completely forgot to say anything about keyword density. Simply enough it is how many times your keyword is repeated within your text, and you need it to be above a certain number, usually anything between 1 and 4 percent)

I’m going to admit, that title really does sound nerdy but what I want to do is show you how to accurate SEO results to show on your Google Search Engine Results Pages.
Howcome you’re telling me that I don’t get accurate SEO results?
Google dropped a ‘bomb’ as Gary Vaynerchuk put it and is gearing its algorithm towards the more social end of the spectrum. What this means to you or I is if you are signed into your Google account your SEO results are going to favour the people that you are connected with, thus skewing your classic SEO results.
You may be listed on Page 1 in your SEO results for your piece of content under your chosen keyword (which often happens) but really you are not on the first page. Which is a bit of a bummer to be honest.

How to get accurate SEO results
Now, all this social media connection skewing SEO results malarky can be fixed and pretty easily too. All it is going to take is Mozilla Firefox (which if you aren’t using already I highly suggest you do) and an Add-On called Google Global.

You will sometimes find people quoting their Page 1 results out here in the Webosphere, but as I was trying to say in the video don’t judge anyone for not having the SEO results that they say, it is just that they probably haven’t been informed of the change in Google’s algorithm that Gary is talking about. I have yet to find someone who is knowingly misleading people.
My SEO results may be accurate but you’re telling me that they don’t really matter any more no?
You may have caught the gist that Gary is saying that SEO is now worthless as all has changed and is geared to the social end of the scale not the mechanical. I believe somewhat to the contrary. SEO will still be a huge part of the game and for quite a while. Yes, content that your friends are connected with will show higher and be more exposed but there are Trillions of webpages out there and I am guessing that people you know aren’t connected to all of them.
SEO will still be the backbone of many marketers efforts, there will just be more opportunity to optimise with Social Media too. If you have a highly targeted network of connections within your niche and have optimised content, your SEO results are going to blow away your competitors’.

SEO will get you traffic and although it may not be the pinnacle of the most interesting things online for many people it only takes a few minutes to optimize with On Page stuff well enough to get results that far outweigh the extra effort put in. So do it! ;p
