When you are growing up, there’s a lot to be learned and sometimes some stuff doesn’t lead to the most comfortable of realisations…

I had one of these about 3 years ago (and I’m 34)

After my awakening, that where I was going was not where I wanted to be headed, I started researching much about the world, politics, economics, business, money you name it, everything that I wasn’t interested in for 30 odd years suddenly I craved.

The last 3 years have been much like growing up. What I have found out through the information that I have been exposed to is that the world is not the place that I thought it was. Don’t get me wrong, I already knew it wasn’t the place of unicorns and rainbows that you are lead to believe it is when you are very young, but still I thought there was a ‘decency’ to everything that we did as a society.

As a member of the human race (and I am a member of the human race above any country, colour, affiliation, gang or political party), I assumed, as many of us do, that what our collective western societies were about are righteous expressions such as equality, freedom, understanding and places where we were all able to pursue our own personal happiness.

The truth of the matter is, the core of western society is about control, theft, fraud, coercion and duplicity.

Now, I am not having a go at anyone and this is not me ‘emotionally’ speaking, this is a very matter of fact point of view. If you are beginning to get a little hot under the collar, I ask you to look at everything from an unbiased level. I also urge you to research many aspects of your society, particularly the justice system (which is more a revenue generator) and the monetary system (which is control system rigged to steal wealth), you could also try the financial system and the performance of the credit reporting agencies or the regulatory agencies, how about the adherence to campaign promises of your elected leaders?

Big statements I know.

If all of this point of view is new to you or you feel I am speaking out of line, I urge you to start educating yourself by watching the video below, which is a speech by a highly respected economist, Mike Maloney, and what he explains to the audience is the true nature of the money in your pocket and what effects it is having on the living standards of the vast majority of populations.

I’m often asked, ‘what is it about Gold and Silver that you love so much?’. Mike explains it well, but the truth of the matter is, Gold and Silver are real money and are totally unmanipulatable by the powers that be. You could call G + S the money of the equal, or the free or the uncontrolled or of a fair society.

To have a fair society you must surely need a fair medium of exchange no? Sadly, what we currently have is neither.

I know this post has been a little doom and gloom and I am not here to propagate that sentiment as there are many things for us to rejoice for about where we live, but all I am saying is that for us to bridge the gap between what we believe we have, and what we actually have, we need to do a little reshuffle.

Much love to you all :)

It is only natural that we all think that our network marketing company is the best, I mean, I know that mine is lol, but there is no need to bash others’. We are all on the same side when it comes to the bigger picture.

There is a phrase that Dave Wood has said on a few occasions and it keeps resonating round my head, ‘we need to link arms and fight the forces of evil’… and he’s right. I know from a general perspective that is the case for all civilised societies, infact that is the idea of society, get rid of the untowards so that everyone can live in relative harmony.

But is that really what is happening?

I mean, would you say that the average family existence is a harmonious one? When I think of harmony, I think of something that sounds really good, is refreshing maybe, relaxing perhaps, but what I see a lot of, in my city, is people getting screwed over a little more each year, the boiling frog syndrome is omnipresent.

What is the biggest reason for arguments ans dischord?… Money

What I see is people who have worked bloody hard all their lives and look thoroughly worn out, not tired, but overweathered. How can that be if we have had such amazing technological advancements over the years, but now have a society where people need to work for longer hours and get less reward.

How are people getting screwed? The monetary system is screwing everyone outside of the banking system…

Check out Mike Maloney’s take on it -

To be honest, I harp on about ‘inflation vs wage increases‘, ‘who really pays for Quantitative Easing‘ and all that lark and not that many people I meet are even faintly interested. When I do try to explain what it is that is making everyone poorer they think I am bonkers.

It’s the ‘system’… What a resounding cliché

Anyway, back to the main point, what we, as network marketers need to do, is stop the inner industry dialogue of ‘my company is better than your company’, but focus on the bigger topic of ‘my way of earning money is better than your way of earning money’. Give people a better understanding of what it is that we are trying to accomplish, and how it is there for them to.

When, as I am guessing you have, have your ‘aha’ moment where the capacity of the industry hits you smack in the face, you do not see the world quite the same again. We need to make it better known and better understood. For an industry, with the word ‘Marketing’ in the title, it comes as a bit of a shock at what a bad rap it gets. Surely with the wealth of knowledge out there and the experience in this industry we can at least get it to where people stop dismissing it.

What we have, as I am sure you are aware, is the greatest, cheapest and simplest franchising mechanism known to man. You want the quick start in business, you want to join us, it is that simple.

We are the new crusaders for the future of mankind (now that’s a cool thought). We have a tool that can spread joy to many all over the earth. Combat the rising food and energy prices (what I really mean is the increasing loss of value in your worthless national currency), we have a mechanism that has the power to sidestep many modern woes, and we need to get it out there.

I don’t care what company you are in, you are a network marketer (you may not even have a team yet, but if you believe in the industry you are a network marketer), it is your moral duty to share it with other people and set them as free as you can (admittedly, they will need to play a big part in it too)

I see being a network marketer as a certain philosphical undertaking (I even wrote a post about it here). This industry has the possibility of getting people’s ‘wage’ to increase faster than the rate of inflation and we need to shout about it…

… Before the frog boils

There are evil mechanisms out there sucking the value out of society, and everyones’s pocket, what we need to do is…

… Link arms and fight the forces of evil

learned helplessnessIn 1967 an American psychologist named Martin Seligman started conducting some experiments into animal behaviour and came up with the apparent discovery of ‘Learned Helplessness‘.

Now, learned helplessness, in short, is the behavioural result of being exposed to an ‘inescapable’ pain for so long, that when an opportunity to escape it is presented, an animal will not go for it.

Sound familiar?

Let’s put it a different way.

Exchange ‘pain’ for ‘job’ and see what you come up with.

Does this sound like you? Do you hate your job, like 95% of other people? Have you had opportunities presented to you that could get you out of your job and give you a better existence than the one that you currently have?

Did you go for it? (and put your heart and soul into it… Truthfully?)

It may be a bit of a large pill to swallow, but do you think that you might be a victim of learned helplessness?

Let’s take a quick look at some of the common traits -

  • Don’t believe you can do it
  • Scared of failure
  • Scared of success
  • Worried about what others might think
  • ‘Can’t afford it’
  • Don’t want to get out of your comfort zone
  • Success is for other people
  • Aren’t deserving enough

I could go on, but I think you catch the drift…

Question is, where did all of this come from? Where is your proof that any of the above excuses are true? Who ever said that you could or couldn’t do anything and why do you believe them?

You know that inside of you is a fit, healthy, successful, admired, inspiring individual, but you have let your learned helplessness hold him/her back, why not let them come out and shine?

You have never been in a better time to take control of your destiny. Your J.O.B. doesn’t define you, in fact, if your one of the 95% it doesn’t even inspire you, so why on earth would it be the most important part of your week, every week?

I have a suggestion…

Light that fire inside of you, look at the stuff that you hate in your life and decide that you are going to eliminate it from your world. Get closer to the people who inspire you, and further away from those who sap your energy.

Become the person you know you are and say bollocks to all of the doubters.

Come and join us in building better lives for ourselves and for those around us :)
