I had to stop and think for a little today at what the internet would be like without Open Source developers. Personally, my life on the web would be rubbish!

I have to give a special mention to the guys who have created WordPress, and those who have created the plethora of add-ons. Also, the troopers who have created Open Office and particularly the PDF creation saving button!

Without you the Internet would not be the playing field it is today. You have, and will continue to, affect and change peoples lives for the better with you invaluable work.

As I promised I am posting another way to save some money. Tbh, I am in fear of turning this blog into a money saving website, and that is not what I am about. The way I see it though is that if you can save a bit here and there you will have more for investing!! I am adamant I am not going to cut back on things, just maybe re-arrange stuff so that it is cheaper, which this site should hopefully do for you.

I have not tried the services on this site as I am in the middle of contracts with other suppliers, but from the looks it looks like it could be good. If any of you give it a go, you could bear to leave a comment on the post to let us know how it goes? Nice one.

Utilities Warehouse

You may get a warning come up from your browser about logging in to the site, I believe this may be because it is an affiliate site, not mine I add, and what is happening is that you are logging in to the site just so that if you do use any services the appropriate salesman gets his commission.

I have been on the internet for about 2 years now and I love the idea that from my geographical placement I can create a shop, website or business that can be accessed from all over the globe. The whole concept still fascinates me.

Just over a year ago, I became interested in how the whole thing worked (that was when I joined Wealthy Affiliate, which I highly recommend!). Earlier this year I got excited and joined a course that shows you how to build yourself a shop online and all the techniques needed to make it successful. The thing I like about courses like these is that there is no pat on the back at the end with a certificate, the prize is a working online product, which you have built up yourself!

The course is run by a company called Prosper, who are based in Utah and run distant learning courses on all kinds of new wave subjects like Stock Trading, E-commerce and Real Estate.

The main reason I am writing this post, apart from the obvious about multiple streams of income (hence my e-commerce mission) is for a tribute to my course Tutor. He got thrown in the deep end with me as my first one left the company and he had no background on what I had been doing. The main reason I want to write this is because everytime I get off the phone I am geared up. He doesn’t even try to push me or motivate me, it is just the way he is and the things he says. Basically, he seems a great guy all round. Tbh, we spend a lot of the time laughing!

If, by chance, you want to enrol with Prosper and do the E-commerce course I would suggest asking for him by name to be your tutor. His name is Beau Graves.
