network marketing secretsI want to write this article about 3 ‘network marketing secrets’ quite simply because the industry is such a peculiar one to understand when you start out.

The truth of the matter is, we are all in a distribution model similar to franchising. You purchase a franchise for little money (mainly due to there being no real estate to worry about), and you have a distribution mechanism for product that you sell. To a certain extent, you could consider yourself an affiliate, you get paid for sending people to your company to purchase stuff.

Simple enough right, no network marketing secrets just yet eh?

The kicker to the industry is that you can also get more commissions by selling franchise licences to other people, and earn off the commissions that they make too.

That’s usually as far as people get when they try to understand MLM.

I don’t think that looking at the industry in terms of the simple mechanics of it really does it justice. You soon begin to realise that MLM is a very different organism to what you see from the outside.

Network Marketing Secrets – No.1

Ofcourse, the biggest of the network marketing secrets, which everyone really needs to understand, is that MLM is not a pyramid scheme (I wasn’t sure if I was going to put this one in, because if you are in MLM, you have heard all about this until you are blue in the face). Network marketing can be considered the same as any other business, as there is a legitimate supply chain. You sell products to regular customers in the same way as any other (self employed) sales representative might. I think people get confused and think that the only income source is through recruiting.. If that were the case then you might have a problem. But, sponsoring and recruiting are a bonus to the sales mechanism (but often pushed to the front)

When it comes to recruiting, the product is an extra. When someone is looking for a business opportunity, they are obviously looking to make money. I think that people get confused, when sponsoring, thinking that they need to make the prospect lust after the product, making it more likely for him/her to want to sell it for profit. But the straight truth of the matter is, his/her problem is that he/she wants to make money, which is a problem that you can fix. As Mike Dillard said ‘People don’t by a drill cos they want a drill, they buy a drill cos they want a hole. Your prospect wants to make money… Ya get me?

Network Marketing Secrets – No.3

It turns out that the business is far more than just a job like role. Due to you being totally resposible for your performance and results, you will need to work on yourself, build yourself up into someone who can lead their downline (don’t worry, it is unlikely to need to happen overnight). As a network marketer you are an entrepreneur, so you will need to educate yourself in how to grow your business and also break through certain things, within yourself, that are holding you back. You could be pushed to look at the industry as the personal quest for perfection, always trying to better oneself each and everyday. Remember, you are the engine room of your business!

If you are looking to start in network marketing, take a look at the perspective that my 3 network marketing secrets are coming from and see if that fits with you. You will be beginning a quest for time and financial freedom, only attainable by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and learning and growing your knowledge in all areas of entrepreneurship. Basically, doing something a million times more exciting than a 9-5 lol

Vive la Resistance!

You may be in the industry already or might just be looking to take your Network Marketing online, all the same, there are certain reasons why business owners are converting to cyberspace.

Most Network Marketers are in the industry because, by building a strong team, they can gain huge amounts of leverage by earning a small amounts off each member of their ‘downline’ teams’ work. This happensĀ  whatever level you are at. The reason that I point this out is that it is very similar to the reason why many are taking their Network Marketing online too.

By taking your Network Marketing online you are, essentially, adding another member to your personal workforce for every article you write, video you make etc. What happens is, these pieces of content will sit in cyberspace, catch viewers and lead them to your blog, opportunity or whatever else it is that you wish to lead them to. So, the more you create, the more opportunity of catching interested peoples’ imagination about your subject.

Many offline marketers, who have not taken their Network Marketing online, will spend much of their time ‘hunting down’ prospects, qualifying them and then signing them into their business. All of these processes can be automated using content, capture pages and autoresponders, the only part that may be/is necessary is to make contact with your prospect and close. But the joy is that the only people that you will be talking to will already be interested in what you have to offer!

To be honest, if your content and marketing structure is so well crafted you can even get technology to do that for you too! Just makes you wonder!
