So, I ring Mum to tell her what may or may not be happening with Cartel and she was unimpressed. ‘You have a great house and are lucky to have a mortgage’ she said, which I totally agree with. In this climate there are many first-time buyers that cannot get the mortgage to get their first property, which is a growing problem.

So after the call I sat back and thought about what I have to lose. I am a single man with no dependents. I looked at what it would be like if I lost everything. Tbh, I think I would get a great sense of calm come over me, a whole new sense of freedom. I would be able to rent a room in a house somewhere and as long as there is an internet connection, I would be fine.

I think underneath I am very much an individual, I am not reliant on much.. Just a bag of clothes and a laptop is all I need to keep me going. So to have nothing else would be a liberator for me.

On the other hand, in that scenario, I would be able to use what I am learning to better effect. I would not have the biggest liability in my portfolio and if I were to get another house I would be using what I now know to find a better purchase.

Onwards and Upwards!

Having completed my course the other weekend I obviously spoke to my mum about it. Tbh, I thought it was very much up her street, as she has had a rental property in the past and has a knack of adding value to anywhere that she lives.

I gave mum the details of The Wealth Intelligence Academy, the guys who held the course for Rich Dad Education. She subsequently booked herself in for the Women in Wealth introduction with a lady called Bindar, who was one of the mentors at mine.
I’m really excited that mum has gotten up and arranged it. I was a little worried that she might have thought it all a little ‘new school’ but she appears to have her finger on the button, so go mum! You never know, our dream of a property company may come around after all!

Not only 9am but 9am on a Sunday, I must be mad. But the stupid thing is I was up like an excited child this morning and in at 8 to sneak a chat with a guy called Silas about what I may or may not do

Just thought mum should get on this course too, just phoned her, she’d love it!!
