An added little bonus to learning all kinds of good stuff is that now and again you get to put it to good use.

I got a call from my Godson’s father yesterday, requesting my assistance in helping him create a session singing career, well, reinvoke the previous one he had. Tbh, this is going to be a slightly long task as there are updated session demos that need to be recorded, but up until this day he didn’t even have a Facebook account!

I get a great sense of thrill and joy when I get the chance to help people. I get the opportunity to create his website, train him in the art of maintaining it and walk him through all his social networking profiles! Plus, he is adamant that he wants me to do his vocal recording to… I’m honoured! Gonna have to re-revise my degree coursework lol. Not to mention, Elle from SugarMooch is onside to help out with the graphics… She’s awesome..

I don’t want to sound like a do-gooder, because they seem to me as a little tedious, but being able to help someone so dear to me in a way that he appreciates is great and I am well up for it!

So, the moral of the story is keep up the learning and let’s see how useful we can become!
