It can feel pretty daunting starting out on any journey, especially if you are kinda unsure of where you are headed.. But one thing you already know is that you’re going to need to manifest change in order to get there…
.. and that can be a bastard.
and I’ll tell you why.
To manifest change – Why is it so hard?
The simple truth of the matter is that humans are habitual creatures controlled by the senses of pain and pleasure..
To manifest change = PAIN
Moving from anything to another puts you outside of your comfort zone… If it wasn’t ‘out there’ you would be doing it already..
… and we all know that where you are is a result of your current habits.
If you want to change what you are surrounded by you need to change your habits, but here’s where the problems lie when I speak to people and see what it is that they are up to.
What problems do people have when they want to manifest change in their lives?
The one biggest factor that I see where people struggle when they are looking to manifest change is that they pussyfoot about with it. Yes, changing can be difficult but only teetering on the edge of where you just were is not going to change much…
all you will feel is frustration.
(your results won’t be big enough for the amount of ‘effort’ you believe you have put in)
Take a giant leap and really change some stuff!..
A few ideas for you about manifesting change in your life.
We have established that to manifest change can be painful so I would like to share with you the ONE best thing that I have learned when learning new habits (and ridding myself of old bad habits)…
Just in case you are wondering if I have an credibility in the subject, in the last 5 years I have given up drink, drugs, cigarettes and sex (although sex was by accident, as a result of giving up the first three methinks). The ONE big piece of advice that I can give you when looking to manifest change in your life is to do it from a position of trying to attain something, not from a position of trying to give something up…
For instance…
When giving up smoking, don’t ‘give up smoking’.. Gain more freedom in yourself, in what you do..
Ok, not the best example..
My most recent one is giving up animal products such as dairy… So, I went about it from the position of eating a 95-100% raw fruit and veg tactic, rather than consuming less milk and eggs.
It really frustrates me when I hear what people want to do and then see how small a change they are willing to make in order to get there.
Go big or go home!
Love ya
